Reggae Sumfest, The Caribbean's premier music festival, showcasing Jamaica's indigenous music , as well other popular global genres of music. The festival started in 1993 and has attracted local acts such as Sean Paul, Buju Banton, Beres Hammond, Damian Junior Gong Marley, Stephen Marley, Maxi Priest, Spice, Popcaan, Beenie Man and Bounty Killer to name a few. Past international acts include 50 Cent, Rihanna, Florida, Destiny’s Child, Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj, Wiz Khalifa, and Usher. Phase 3 has been a part of Reggae Sumfest for the past 17 years.

In 2016 the Festival was sold to Downsound Records who then made the very bold and innovative move of providing a free live-stream. Phase 3 was once again challenged to build out a robust streaming infrastructure to manage the hundreds of thousands of live viewers around the world  as well as the millions of views after the festival.

For the 2019 staging of the festival once again the Phase 3 team delivered and provided event services including LED screens on stage as well as screens around the venue for IMAG. The first 4K live production in Jamaica with a total of (12) Sony Broadcast cameras onstage including our backstage livestream set  for artistes or sponsors. Fiber optic infrastructure to distribute signals around the venue and live feeds within sponsors booths, live Drone were also provided. Additional content capture for special features and real time clip upload to Youtube as well as digital delivery of content to international media.

For this project Phase 3 delivers a turnkey online & in-venue live content solution and look forward to once again working with the Sumfest team for the upcoming festival.
