When thousands gathered at Hope Gardens for the highly anticipated Lost In Time Festival, the energy was unmistakable. Headlined by promoter Protoje and featuring a standout lineup of reggae talent, the festival also marked the highly anticipated return of Chronixx to the Kingston stage, demanding a technical execution capable of matching the scale of the moment. Behind that immersive experience was Phase 3 Productions, serving as the exclusive LED screen provider across the entire venue while delivering a 10-camera multicamera coverage of the event.
As a longstanding technical partner of Lost In Time, Phase 3 worked in close collaboration with the festival’s production team, who led the overall creative direction. Together, the teams translated creative vision into a fully integrated technical environment designed to keep every patron connected — whether at the front of the main stage or across the wider festival grounds.
The company provided the primary high-resolution LED wall anchoring the Main Stage, creating a powerful visual focal point for major performances. Beyond that centrepiece, additional screens were strategically deployed throughout the venue to ensure uninterrupted sightlines and synchronized live visuals. The immersive approach extended even further into hospitality and dining areas, where smaller screens were installed inside premium spaces including Stush in the Bush, Mystic Thai, and Brian Lumley’s culinary space. Guests enjoying curated dining experiences remained fully connected to the live performances in real time, reinforcing continuity across every zone of the event.
With performances spanning both the Main Stage and the more intimate Foundation Stage, the technical footprint required synchronized screen, lighting, power, and broadcast systems operating simultaneously. Phase 3 deployed its 40ft x 40ft stage roof and integrated lighting system for the Foundation Stage, delivering structural stability and a controlled lighting environment that supported the festival’s creative direction across both nights.
At the centre of operations was Phase 3’s 4K mobile production truck, which functioned as the content hub for the festival. Using Sony broadcast camera systems and RossVideo & Pixelhue switching technology, the team managed 10 cameras in real time — including long-lens broadcast units, drone coverage capturing sweeping aerial perspectives, and robotic cameras delivering dynamic stage movement. Immediate highlight clips were produced for social media and media outlets while the festival was still in progress, allowing branded content to circulate instantly and extending the impact of the event far beyond the venue.
Protoje took a moment to reflect on the enduring relationship between the festival and its production partner. “We’ve been working together since we started Lost in Time, and it’s good that we can collaborate to put out something that people love,” he said. He underscored the critical role of such alliances for the industry: “It’s very important, you know, that partnerships like this keep happening in Jamaican music and production. He went on to further say “Phase 3 brought a level of precision that elevated the entire experience. The main stage screens expanded the energy beyond the stage, and the Foundation Stage was executed with care and intention. That balance is important to us” – Protoje
Beyond the audience experience, festivals like Lost In Time create significant economic impact across Jamaica’s creative and technical sectors. Hundreds of skilled professionals — from camera operators and lighting designers to riggers and stagehands — rely on productions of this scale to sustain their livelihoods and grow the creative economy.
“Music festivals are more than entertainment, they celebrate Jamaican creativity and drive our creative economy. Phase 3 was built around production for entertainment and sports. Supporting these moments with world-class execution is part of how we contribute to the culture,” said Delano Forbes, CEO of Phase 3 Productions.
With over four decades of experience and fully integrated in-house capabilities spanning LED, broadcast, audio, lighting, staging, and power, Phase 3 continues to position itself as a trusted production partner for major entertainment, sports, corporate, and government events across Jamaica.
At Lost In Time, the message was clear: when creative vision and technical execution move in sync, the audience feels it — and the impact lasts long after the final performance.
